Symmetrically substituted tetra(meso-aryl)porphyrin with tetraethylene glycol fragments was obtained. For its synthesis, pyrrole was condensed with para-formylbenzoic acid esterified with tetraethylene glycol, and the carboxyl groups of tetra(meso-(para-carboxyphenyl))porphine were esterified. The target product was synthesized only by the second way.
