Synthesis and Spectral-Fluorescent Properties of Halogen-Substituted Sn(IV)-Tetraphenylporphyrins

By the reactions of Sn(II) chloride with halogen-substituted porphyrins and their cadmium complexes a synthesis and spectral-fluorescent properties investigation of Sn(IV)-5,10,1,15,20-tetra(4-bromophenyl)porphyrin, Sn(IV)-5,10,15,20-tetra(4-chlorophenyl)porphyrin and Sn(IV)-5,10,15,20-tetra(2,6-dichlorophenyl)porphyrin were carried out. The compounds obtained were identified by UV-Vis, IR, 1H NMR spectroscopy and mass spectrometry. The effect of the meso- and β-pyrrole substitution on fluorescence quantum yields of the synthesized compounds is estimated.
