A new hexa(4-tert-butylphenoxy) substituted [30]trithiadodecaazahexaphyrin was obtained by reaction of bis-5,6-(4-tert-butylphenoxy)phthalonitrile and 2,5-diamino-1,3,4-thiadiazole in ethylene glycol, as well as its NiII, CuII, CoII, ZnII 3:1 metallocomplexes were synthesized. All the compounds were characterized by UV-Vis, IR, 1H NMR and 13C NMR spectroscopy, mass spectrometry and elemental analysis.
