New boron-porphyrin conjugates were synthesized based on 5,10,15,20-tetrakis(4-aminophenyl)porphyrin, 5-(4- aminophenyl)-10,15,20-triphenylporphyrin, 5,10-bis(4-aminophenyl)-15,20-diphenylporphyrin and closo-decaborate anions [B10H10]2-. Number of boron clusters varied from one to four. The structure of all compounds was confirmed using heteronuclear correlation methods {1H 13C} HSQC and {1H 13C} HMBC. Spectral properties of the conjugates were evaluated based on electron absorption spectra and steady-state fluorescence. Such complexes are novel potential donor-acceptor systems.
