Reactions of Cobinamide with Glucose and Fructose

The reaction of cobinamide (Cbi) with monosaccharides leads to the formation of Co(I) complex in contrast to the reduction of aquacobalamin (H₂OCbl) resulting in the formation of Cbl(II).
