The effective self-assembly process between phenylphosphine, formaldehyde and racemic N-alkyl-2,6-diamino-9,10-
dihydro-9,10-ethanoanthracene-11,12-dicarboximides results in the formation of novel heterocyclophanes with chiral
intramolecular cavity. Compounds of this type can be regarded as potential precursors for a new kind of enantioselective
molecular reactors.
